Digital health care: challenges, opportunities and lessons learnt

Technological advances are inherent to the development of health care provision, itsorganization and quality. One dimension of these advances is digitalization in healthcare sectors, which is a subject of a growing body of literature. Digitalization of healthcare in Europe has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling researchersto find new insight into the challenges and opportunities of digital health care.The upcoming meeting calls for research on topics related to European health carewith a particular focus on digital health care (within or without the context of COVID-19). We encourage cross country analysis and welcome researchers from a variety ofbackgrounds, including but not limited to Economics, Health Services Research,Sociology, Political Sciences and Psychology.The European Health Policy Group is a multidisciplinary network that aims to stimulateinternational collaboration and learning through comparative analysis of changes tohealth care systems in Europe. The group meets twice a year to discuss researchpapers, which will be presented by a discussant followed by a group discussion andclosed with a virtual reality social event.

Abstracts can be submitted until 10 October 2021 and should be sent via email toAnna Nicińska (anicinska@wne.uw.edu.pl). Authors will be advised if they havebeen successful by 17 October 2021 with draft papers or extended abstracts (4-5pages outlining the key elements in a structured approach) to be shared by 14November 2021. We encourage submissions from early career researchers.
