Rocco Friebel

Rocco Friebel, MSc, PhD is Assistant Professor of Health Policy in the Department of Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development. He is Programme Director of the Executive MSc in Evaluation of Health Care Interventions and Outcomes run in partnership with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Since 2021, he is LSE Director of Global Surgery Policy Unit – a partnership between the London School of Economics and the Royal College of Surgeons England. His research interests evolve around the evaluation of policy interventions in the area of quality of care, patient safety, innovation, and productivity. Rocco’s research has been published in leading health economics, medical and policy journals, and he is a board member of Health Economics, Policy and Law.
